We would like to thank everyone who came and supported our auction. Nearly 1,600 pieces of construction and agricultural machinery went under the unreserved hammer on Thursday 3rd & Friday 4th October – with a hammer total of £11.9m
Euro Auctions, world leading auctioneers who hold over 60 sales each year around the globe, were appointed to catalogue and value the entire stock of new and used machinery, then organising and executing the two-day sale on our behalf. The final hammer total for the sale was £11,893,950, with £4,714,940 being ‘online’ sales to many of whom were international buyers. With most of the successful bids coming from the UK and Ireland, with local buyers from Cornwall and Devon being evident.
Chris Bond comments, “The west country has never seen a sale of this magnitude and is unlikely to see one again, I’m sure! We are delighted with the outcome of the two days and all the hard work leading up to this event. The WH Bond team and the Euro Auctions crew worked ‘seamlessly’ to firstly prepare for the sale, as well as executing the auction on the days of the auction. The local contracting and agricultural communities in the west country really bought into this event, with over 1,000 visitors attending on each day. Euro Auctions really pulled one ‘out of the bag’ for WH Bond and our staff were tireless, of which I and my family are truly grateful and proud. It was truly a great day.”
