This flood embankment project challenged us in different ways to the flood wall project, from design changes to hand laying 10,500 bags in the wet winter weather.

Once flood works were completed we could begin the build of the Rootlok flood wall. To start out we measured and dug a foundation, however just as works started a major deign change was made adding roughly 3000 more bags to the design plan, resulting in the total bags now being 10,500 which involved many trips to the compound and back to the works area. A fence line was to be installed therefore the posts needed to be in place first, followed by engineering the bags to fit around each post.
