Roddy's Review of the Ford 7810 Jubilee

The Ford 7810 jubilee tractor requires little introduction, it’s a well-balanced, six-cylinder workhorse fitted with fords 6.6 litre engine producing around 100hp, however this one has been fitted with a aftermarket turbocharger for even more power, this isn’t a uncommon modification, much like it’s straight pipe exhaust, which gives it the much loved Ford soundtrack especially under load.

In my opinion the Ford 7810 jubilee is a brilliant tractor due to it being light, manoeuvrable and still have a decent amount of horsepower, it also stands out from the crowd with its silver paint job, furthermore it is fitted with fords SQ cab, providing comfort and good sound proofing.

So why is a 7810 jubilee painted silver?

The story begins in 1962 when Ford began construction of a new state-of-the-art tractor production facility and global headquarters in Basildon, Essex.
Then in 1989, to celebrate 25 years of continuous tractor production, Ford decided to produce a special, limited edition 7810 ‘Silver Jubilee’ tractor. It is believed that less than 500 of these silver jubilee’s were produced, However some argue that production numbers were a lot less.

Nonetheless, the 7810 Silver Jubilee is easily recognisable by its metallic silver bonnet, cab and wheels, as well as the commemorative “25” decals on the side of the roof, today these rare and unique tractors are considered a desirable collectors item, and it’s easy to see why.
